After sampling all the sushi restaurants in the area, I discovered that Sushi UOmo on Hastings St (Burnaby Heights) had the best sushi, so naturally, I became a regular. Even though I've been going there for years, I never got around to writing a Google review. Maybe it's because I wanted to keep this hidden gem to myself, but it's time to share the love. There's just something about Sushi UOmo that keeps me coming back, despite there being plenty of other sushi restaurants in the vicinity. The rolls are tightly packed, so they don't crumble when you try to eat them with chopsticks, which is a huge plus. Additionally, the balance of rice and ingredients is spot-on, and the flavors are well-seasoned. The tempura rolls and salmon rolls are my personal favorites and they never disappoint. Whether I'm dining with my family or grabbing takeout, Sushi UOmo always hits the spot. If you're in the mood for sushi tonight, I highly recommend giving them a try. It's surprising that this is my first Google review, given how much I've enjoyed eating there over the years. So take it from a seasoned regular and try out Sushi UOmo – you won't regret it!
I have been eyeing this restaurant for a little while now and got the chance to try it out. I ordered the sushi & sashimi box as well as a chopped scallop roll. I asked for my sashimi to be all tuna which they accomodated and I was impressed with the size of each piece! Both sashimi and nigiri where fresh and delicious. The server was friendly and courteous and overall this was a great experience!
Delicious food and friendly service. I had the chef’s creation assorted sushi combo and lucked out on some really tasty nigiri that I otherwise wouldn’t have known to order. My husband had the pork fork ribs combo off their special menu. The ribs were meaty and tender and the glaze was flavourful but not overpowering. Highly recommend!
Cute and casual restaurant with wonderful sushi. The sockeye salmon was so fresh and amazing, and the maki rolls were very tasty. Great place to catch up with family and friends over some delicious seafood.
This restaurant is indeed a special place ... The Japanese and Korean food is amazing ! We love the new menu items of Korean BBQ Beef and Short Ribs . MMMM !! The service is exceptional ! Highly Recommended
This was the first time I've tried sushi from Sushi UOmo, and the rolls were well made and tasted excellent. To add, the sushi was presented very well in the takeout container. The sliced salmon on top of the Mega Dragon Red Roll was fresh and delicious. This is a high-quality sushi restaurant in North Burnaby.

Great local spot! My new go-to! The specials are excellent. Such great value and always so full at the end. Their kimbab is so good too. I didn’t finish mine and ate mine the next day and it was still so good! I was surprised how kimbab the next day normally isn’t but theirs is! I recommend if you’re in the area.
